Savoy Palace

Savoy Palace is Madeira's twenty-first-century grand hotel — a sixteen-floor Leading Hotels of the World member rising behind the Savoy group's oceanfront gardens, designed by Nini Andrade Silva as a love letter to the island's flora, traditions and waterfalls.

Rooms and suites climb the tower in individually created zones, each floor given the atmosphere of a small boutique hotel. At the summit sits Galáxia — a rooftop infinity pool and skyfood restaurant with the widest view in Funchal — and below, the Laurea Spa, one of the largest in Portugal, unfolds across 3,100 m².

A collection of restaurants and bars runs the tower from pool to lobby: Alameda, Jacarandá, Pau de Lume. The old town, the wine lodges and the seafront begin a short walk from the door — the resort that proves Funchal can still surprise.
